Hankkeessa kehitetään ja toteutetaan varhaisen puuttumisen menetelmiä sukupuoleen perustuvan kyberväkivallan ehkäisemiseksi rikoksilla oireilevien nuorten keskuudessa. Hanke toteutuu Espanjassa, Italiassa, Portugalissa, Romaniassa ja Suomessa.
COVID-19-pandemian aikana sukupuoleen perustuva kyberväkivaltaa on lisääntynyt maailmanlaajuisesti internetin ja kyberpohjaisten alustojen lisääntyneen käytön seurauksena. Tavoitteenamme on muuttaa tätä suuntausta rikoksilla oireilevien nuorten keskuudessa. Hankkeen päämäärät ovat:
- ymmärtää, miten sukupuoleen perustuva kyberväkivalta koetaan rikoksilla oireilevien nuorten keskuudessa,
- parantaa kohderyhmän digitaalisia taitoja erityisesti opettamalla heitä tunnistamaan, ehkäisemään ja vastustamaan sukupuoleen perustuvaa kyberväkivaltaa,
- lisätä kohderyhmän sitoutumista ja osallistumista tietoisuuden lisäämiseen sukupuoleen perustuvasta kyberväkivallasta,
- edistää kohderyhmän parissa työskentelevien ammattilaisten tietoja ja taitoja sukupuoleen perustuvan kyberväkivallan ehkäisemiseen liittyen,
- lisätä tietoa sukupuoleen perustuvan kyberväkivallan erityispiirteistä kohderyhmässä, tämän yhteisöissä ja perheissä sekä
- tuottaa tietoa, jakaa hyviä käytäntöjä ja edistää verkostoitumista asiaankuuluvien instituutioiden, organisaatioiden ja ammattilaisten kesken.
#PreventGBV on kansainvälinen hanke, jossa on yhteistyökumppaneita viidessä maassa: Fundación Diagrama Intervención Psicosocial ja University of Barcelona Espanjassa, Aproximar, Cooperativa de Solidariedade Social Portugalissa, Centre for Lifelong Learning Romaniassa ja Don Calabria Institute Italiassa.
Hankkeen toiminta-aika on 01.01.2022 – 31.12.2023 ja osarahoittaja toimii Euroopan unionin CERV-2021-DAPHNE-ohjelma.

The Project #PreventGBV (abbreviation for prevent gender-based violence) aims to develop and implement early intervention methods to prevent gender-based cyberviolence among youth involved with the juvenile justice systems in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Finland. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we have seen a global rise in cases of gender-based cyberviolence as a result of the increased use of the internet and cyber-based platforms.
Our goal is to change this trend among youth that are involved with the juvenile justice system by focusing on the following six objectives:
- understanding how gender-based cyberviolence is experienced within this target group,
- improving the target groups digital skills; specifically teaching them to identify, prevent and object to gender-based cyberviolence,
- increasing the target groups commitment and participation in raising awareness about gender-based cyberviolence,
- developing knowledge and skills related to the prevention of gender-based cyberviolence among professionals working with the target group,
- raising awareness about gender-based cyberviolence within the target group among communities and families and
- producing knowledge, sharing good practices and promoting networking among relevant institutions, organisations and professionals
Prevent GBV is an international project with partners in five countries.
